Superintendent

Only applicants with 5 years + experience being a project Superintendent on high end custom homes need apply.

Job Description: As a project superintendent you will be the leader that controls all aspects of a residential custom home construction project to maximize communications and workflow to deliver a tailored customer experience to our clients.

Job Duties:
· Control and maintain project schedule and work flow
· Handle communication between design team, build team, & clients
· Review subcontractor or vendor bids for accuracy
· Perform quality control

Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Positive interpersonal skills used to interact with our clients, team, and subcontractors
· Basic computer skills to facilitate communications
· Read and understand plans and specifications
· Knowledge of construction techniques, building code and trade practices to perform quality control

Office Assistant

Foreman Builders, Inc the premier custom home builder of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, is looking to hire a friendly, experienced Office Assistant.

Office Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Office communications and reception duties: Support the office by fielding calls, answering questions, forwarding messages as well as greeting all visitors while maintaining the highest level of customer care and cooperative attitude.
  • Calendar & Email Management: Coordinate and manage the Owner’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and ensuring timely responses to email inquiries.
  • Prospect Tracking: Keep track of prospective clients, organize follow-ups, and assist in nurturing relationships to convert leads into business opportunities.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize client meetings, ensuring proper preparation, including necessary materials.
  • Office Management: Maintain the office space and equipment, ensuring it remains organized and efficient, supporting the team in a collaborative work environment.
  • General Administrative Support: Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the Owner, team members and the company’s day-to-day operations while maintaining confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information

Office Assistant Qualifications / Skills:

  • At least 3 years prior experience, preferred but not required as an Office Assistant or similar administrative role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in office software
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a professional environment.
  • Proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Prior experience in residential construction preferred, but not required.

Hours will be 20 -40 hours a week to start. There is the possibility of adding various other administrative tasks as experience is demonstrated. Carpenter

Residential Construction Estimator 

Perform quantitative take offs on new custom homes and remodeling. This position requires a passionate and detail-oriented individual who can meet deadlines and is focused. The ideal candidate will have significant estimating experience in residential construction and have the following:

  • Prepare and review plan specific budgets including but not limited to reviewing cost estimates.
  • Review master take-offs against plan specific estimates and make appropriate changes when required to ensure correct take-offs are being maintained at master level.
  • Work with trade partners, vendors, architectural services and production department to reconcile discrepancies in take-offs.

Qualifications

The idea candidate for the position should meet or exceed the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the residential construction industry preferred;
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills; be detail-oriented;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Competency with Microsoft Office; Any experience with CAD design is a plus
  • Ability to perform job tasks accurately and efficiently, with minimal supervision and high level of integrity;
  • Ability to make cost effective decisions, quickly and easily;
  • Have the personality to represent the company positively, with an honest and forthright attitude.
